The Problem
TechStart NG had been building their SaaS product for over a year. The product was genuinely good — a project management tool designed for African SMEs. But after 8 months of random Instagram and Twitter posting, they had zero paying customers. Their team was burning runway with no traction.
Our Solution
We started with a full distribution audit. The problem wasn't the product — it was that they were on the wrong channels talking to the wrong people in the wrong language. We repositioned their ICP to mid-sized Nigerian businesses (50–200 employees), moved their primary channel to LinkedIn, built an outbound email system, and launched a content distribution strategy that positioned their CEO as the definitive voice on African SME productivity.
The process
Week 1–2
Distribution Audit
Mapped all current acquisition channels, analyzed conversion data, interviewed 5 existing users to identify why they actually bought.
Week 3–4
ICP & Positioning
Redefined the ideal customer profile from 'any African business' to 'Nigerian companies 50–200 employees in logistics, retail, and services'. Rewrote all messaging.
Month 2
Channel Build
Built LinkedIn outbound system targeting operations managers and founders. Set up automated email follow-up sequences. Launched weekly LinkedIn thought leadership content.
Month 3
Revenue
First ₦500k in month 2. Scaled to ₦2.4M by end of month 3 as systems compounded. Handed over a fully documented playbook to internal team.
"Borderless Profit didn't just give us advice — they built the actual system that generated revenue. We went from ₦0 inbound to ₦2.4M in three months. The team genuinely cares about results, not just deliverables."
